CFI launches Systems Leadership Learning Program 2025

Are you ready to take the next step in your leadership development? Are you looking for ways to lead change that holds both the vision for the future with the reality of the current, often inequitable system you’re working in?

Perhaps you are navigating the tension of the relational work of systems change with the constraints of time and pace? Or maybe you are ready to harness  the types of power and authority you have to help shift the wider power dynamics  in your context?

Perhaps you want practical ideas about how to truly hear and engage with diverse perspectives? Or maybe you want to connect with others facing similar challenges and build a network of peers that you can learn from now and into the future?

We understand that leadership in these times can be both draining and fulfilling; it can be overwhelming in its complexity yet also mundane at times. We know from more than a decade of supporting leaders to work in ways that shift the systems they are part of to be fairer, more equitable and work for all – that leaders need opportunities to develop awareness and knowledge, try things out in real-time, and learn amongst a group of people who are asking similar questions and facing similar challenges.

Our leadership courses support you to strengthen your capabilities, as well as your networks and contribute to sharing and building practice-informed knowledge for systems leadership. All our courses provide you with:

  • Knowledge – of the core systems and collective leadership concepts, practices and mindsets. We have brought together leadership practices and concepts from across multiple fields, evolving approaches and previous leadership offerings (such as Deep Collaboration, Place-based change, Community-led systems change, Systems Leadership and Adaptive Leadership )
  • Practice – opportunities to apply ways to navigate common collective leadership tensions. Our approach builds on lessons from designing and delivering leadership programs and working with systems change actors in early childhood, philanthropy, collaborations with First Nations and other multicultural Australians, and community-led collaborations. For example, the spacing of our programs is designed to enable reflection and deep learning; we consider the diversity of experience in each program cohort; the practical tensions we face in our systems are replicated in the learning space to create opportunities for experiential learning.
  • Networkslearning spaces that support the building of relationships, peer support and ongoing networks. Our programs are designed for systems learning – participation is aimed at collaborations registering 3-5 people to learn and practice together. This includes the opportunity to learn and share insights from your own practice and that of your collaboration, as well as contribute to the evolution of the broader systems change field.
